Stephan Rechtschaffen, co-founded the Omega Institute, which offers classes and programs to over 25,000 people a year at their 75 hectare campus in upstate New York. Omega’s workshops, conferences, and retreats create dialogues on the integration of modern medicine and natural healing. More recently Stephan founded Blue Spirit Costa Rica in Nosara to provide an extraordinary setting to support retreats, workshops, and training programs.

Alejandro Martinez has been a partner in and provided finance and administration services to a number of business and several real estate projects and manages BDA financial and administrative matters. With Charles Gohmann, Alejandro was a co-founder of First Costa Rican Title and Trust, where his duties included management and disbursement of tens of millions of dollars for property transactions and supervision of all escrow accounts.

Paul Allenza, Ph.D.
Paul is an experienced biotechnology research director and educator who has led both innovative research and development programs in biotechnology, with an established record of strong collaborations and formal alliances across diverse groups and disciplines in both academia and industry. He has worked closely with many entrepreneurial biotechnology companies advancing in commercial development and has a strong record in developing employees and students for careers in a wide range of scientific disciplines.
Guillermo Zúñiga Chaves
Guillermo is a distinguished Costa Rican economist who has served on the board of the Central Bank of Costa Rica, on the board of the National Stock Exchange, has held senior positions with Fitch Centroamérica and served as Minister of Finance in the second administration of Nobel Prize winner Oscar Arias Sánchez. He currently consults on various projects including the UNDP’s Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN).
